NEW JERSEY / B2B CANNABIS TRANSPORT

Your transport has a route. Does it have a record?

Phone-based GPS evidence, tied to the transport workflow. Give your team a clearer account of where a load went, what happened along the way, and what you can produce afterward.

For licensed NJ operators. Paid plans begin after the free trial unless cancelled before renewal. View pricing.

01 — HOW IT WORKS

Track the trip.
Keep the receipts.

Every handoff has a place in the story. GPS is most useful when you can connect it to the transfer, the driver, and the receiving signature—not when it sits in a separate map dashboard.

01

Start with the transfer

Use the New Jersey Metrc transfer context and prepare the corresponding Flower Freight run.

MANIFEST CONTEXT
02

Record the journey

The assigned driver runs the phone-based location workflow. Observations and interruptions are recorded as evidence.

GPS + EVENTS
03

Produce the record

Bring together available GPS history, delivery evidence, and supporting transport details in an export.

HISTORICAL EXPORT
The important distinction: a phone browser is not a hardwired tracker. If the phone locks, loses power, or suspends the browser, location collection can stop. Flower Freight records detected interruptions; it does not invent missing GPS points. New Jersey separately requires an active GPS device affixed to the vehicle during operation. Read N.J.A.C. 17:30-9.15(c)(2) ↗.

02 — THE PROOF

A map is a view.
A transport record is evidence.

When someone asks about last Tuesday's delivery, you need more than a pin. You need an account of the trip you can review and export.

01 / DOCUMENTED

GPS observations

Recorded coordinates, observation timestamps, and server receipt times where available.

02 / DOCUMENTED

Tracking interruptions

Gaps and recoveries stay visible instead of being turned into a fictional continuous trail.

03 / DOCUMENTED

Transfer context

Metrc-sourced transfer information and the Flower Freight transport workflow provide the context for a trip.

04 / DOCUMENTED

Delivery proof

Arrival events, temperature entries, receiver sign-off, and load-linked messages build the supporting record.

Export reflects the information actually collected. Metrc data remains in Metrc; Flower Freight adds separate transport evidence.

03 — THE ACTUAL QUESTIONS

No mystery.
No mandatory sales call.

What NJ cultivators and manufacturers should know before choosing a GPS workflow for transport.

01Can we track transport with the driver's phone?

Yes. The assigned driver can record location using their phone's browser during the run. Location permission must be enabled, the browser kept open, and the phone powered. Mobile browsers cannot guarantee continuous collection when locked, backgrounded, suspended, or offline.

02Do we have to install GPS hardware in each vehicle?

Flower Freight's browser workflow does not require installing a separate hardwired tracker. But N.J.A.C. 17:30-9.15(c)(2) requires a GPS device permanently or temporarily affixed to the vehicle while it operates, kept active during transport, and location accessible to the originating business. We cannot determine whether a particular phone, mount, and browser setup meets that obligation. A browser can stop collecting when locked or suspended; independent tracking requires a separate powered device.

03Can the shipper see the route?

Authorized operations users can review the transport's recorded location and route-related events in Flower Freight. Observations depend on the driver's device successfully collecting and uploading them; the record may show gaps. This should not be mistaken for uninterrupted, hardwired live tracking.

04Is GPS history preserved with the transport record?

GPS observations, gaps, recoveries, and relevant route events are included in the trip evidence available for export. The exported record reflects observed data; missing readings are not recreated. Operators should retain their own copies under applicable recordkeeping rules.

05Does GPS tracking connect with our Metrc workflow?

Flower Freight works with New Jersey Metrc transfer data and adds its own transport evidence around that transfer. GPS observations are part of the Flower Freight record—not a claim that GPS points are written back to Metrc.

06Can we retrieve a historical transport record?

Yes. Authorized users can retrieve historical trip evidence and export the record in supported formats, including printable and structured exports. The output brings together available route history and related transport evidence for review.
